Q: I have retinitis pigmentosa (RP), can you help me?
A: There is no treatment, for RP.
However, in some RP patients, they also have cataracts, and we can remove the cataracts, to improve these patients’ eyesight, al beit to a limited extent, since the part of vision loss due to RP is not reversible.
