lady up america

In 2021, Diane Canada started an organization called “Lady Up America (LUA)” and asked Dr. Wang to help, to teach people how to build relationships and find common ground with people who have different opinions and viewpoints. LUA is specifically interested in reaching out to four group of people, women, immigrants, minorities and youth. The core of LUA’s teaching is a set of methodologies for seeking common ground, including the common ground-seeking STEPS, the SALT principle, etc. LUA’s main approach is to organize in-person or zoom workshops and via its powerful LUA app. LUA is a for-profit organization.

LUA’s mission is to reunite our country and help people overcome our polarization and find common ground.

Dr. Wang is serving as the president of LUA Founders Club.

Honorary president: Dr. Ming Wang, Harvard & MIT (MD, magna cum laude); PhD (laser physics)

TENNESSEE'S only chamber of commerce dedicated to:

  • Connecting American and Chinese business owners in the Nashville area, across the US and in China
  • Highly informational meetings. Our goal is to give members useful knowledge and information, by experts in their fields, which can be immediately applied to growing and empowering your business.

Mission:

  • We are a defined connection point between the American and Chinese cultures as businesses expand their marketplace engagement.

Our mission is to help people discover what they have in common with others in order to find solutions to the conflicts they face, which in turn enables them to be more successful and fulfilled in their individual lives and cultures. We also seek to network with organizations that have similar goals.

We believe there are universally applicable, common ground-seeking methodologies that can be extracted from the experiences of those we call “Common Ground Champions” –people who have successfully applied these methods of identifying what they have in common.

Although common ground-seeking methods do exist, they are typically isolated, sporadic, and unrelated, which limits their general applicability to situations beyond the specific conflicts for which their methods were derived.

Therefore, we have approached the task of seeking common ground in a new way. We have gathered the champions’methods, delved deeper into the essence and underlying principles behind their methods, and identified the logical interconnection between them. From this research we formulated a novel “Common Ground-Seeking System” that can be utilized in the pursuit of common ground in general, regardless of the specific nature of the conflict.

At Common Ground Network, we stand on the shoulders of giants who have gone before us, and who have inspired us to further the cause by developing a generally applicable system for everyone seeking to find what we all have in common.

WHY WE EXIST:  To help people find common ground, resolve gridlocks and discover solutions so that the quality of their lives is improved, they are more successful, and they feel more fulfilled.

WHAT WE DO: We research the methodologies of the champions to formulate a new Common Ground-Seeking System.

HOW WE DO IT:  We teach people this system and help them apply it in order to discover what they have in common.

aitken bible

Atkins Bible projectIn 2020, Mr. Stephen Skelton approached Dr. Wang about his “The American Bible Project” to see he could help. Dr. Wang again suggested the establishment of a founders club. The organization is in the planning stage, and Dr. Wang will serve as its founding president. The American Bible Project is about putting the Bible back into schools through printing authentic reproductions of the first American Bible, the Aitken Bible. Historians refer to the Aitken Bible as "The Bible of the American Revolution." This Bible has three remarkable features:

1) the only Bible approved by the United States Congress

2) the only Bible recommended to Americans by our Founding Fathers

3) the first English Bible made in America (Journals of Congress, September 12, 1782)

Our Aitken Bibles are donated to the history departments of elementary, middle and high schools. To promote historic preservation through education, the Aitken Bible serves as an object lesson to aid in the teaching of the American Revolution. Inside the classrooms, our lesson plans also connect the Aitken Bible to the teaching of the Revolutionary War. For more information, please visit TheAmericanBible.org.
